Kuala Lumpur Folklore Show Culture Show

Kuala Lumpur Folklore Show Culture Show runs every evening at the Malaysian tourist center near the Petronal Tower. Its a perfomance to show different ethnic groups of the country via dancing and costumes. On the West Malaysia's Peninsular and on East Malaysia's part of Borneo which means Sarawak and Sabah.

On West Malaysia's Peninsular are mainly -naturally- Malay people but also a large amount of Chinese and Indian who migrated to Malaysia mainly during British Colonial Times and the Tin boom around 200 years ago bringing Chinese workers in by thousands.

In Sarawak and Sabah more than 50 different ethnic groups show a cultural diversity all have their particular dresses and some are shown during this Kuala Lumpur's Folklore Show, together with some very attractive music and dancing. All of them still have their very distinctive cultural heritage or folkloregiving the country a tremendous variety of culture.

The folklore show in the Malaysian Tourist Center in Kuala Lumpur,

right in the shadow of the Petronas twin tower building, in the moment the second tallest building in the world.

Everyday a colorful show is performed on the stage with a dinner event, which means in the hall is a huge buffet and a attractive
dance group try to make you visually happy.Folklore is somehow a artistic expression of of way of life and belief. Malaysia has different forms of folklore due to the large variety of different ethic groups reflecting the different ways of life, religion and behavior.The performance by the dance group in the Malaysian Cultural Center Nightlife Show is a wonderful narrative of traditional and modern transformations of folks tale and stage performance.

At the Kuala Lumpur Nightlife Show are dancer in costumes of the different tribes of Malaysia. From the Malaysian peninsular all the way to east Malaysia the former Borneo, Sarawak and Sabah with an incredible cultural diversity. Unfortunately this will not last very much longer since the oil palm industry is moving in since years cutting down all the rain forest to make quick cash by producing palm oil. A rich biodiversity is demolished, native tribes loose their land, since naturally there is no land title. The big animals such as Orang Utan (means man from the forest) have no space to live anymore and that's the same with hundreds of other species. This land destruction is done for the sake of quick cash. In the forefront are Malay Chinese people who cant get their bank account full enough.
